We were a group of 12. This hotel is as described. Location was very good - ski bus stops outside the hotel but it’s only 10 min walk to main lift/village. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice & we enjoyed cooking our own eggs/bacon . …
A cool hotel in itself. Good location, very nice rooms (great design with lots of wood), very nice bathroom! BUT... the "egg frying station" is a total joke. You have to cook your own egg in the morning. It's advertised as "there are no limits to your creativity". What's next for breakfast? The bread baking station with flour, salt and water?
The vibe in this hotel is very sporty and sustainability is integrated into the operations well. The balconies could be bigger and the choice at breakfast is at times limited. All in all recommended, it is a good value for money.

Good value for money. Simple but nice bedroom and clean bathroom. The bed was especially comfy. The staff was friendly and professional (with very good English). Free parking at the hotel was great. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety of food and I could fry my own bacon and egg, I really loved this.
Good clean functional budget hotel on outskirts of SJ. But beware. The nearest ski lift is not functioning
In answer to the hotel's question. We were told that there was a ski lift anout 200m away, next to the COOEE hotel. There was some of the infrastructure but it wasnt working and didnt look ad though it had worked all season. The next nearest lift was further away and many people waited for a snowmobile to get a lift to the slopes

We’ve been in two other Explorer hotels before. So we know the concept, the house and the rooms.
We like it due to the smart structure of the room and the very friendly staff. You can ask everything and it’s easy to get in touch.
Furthermore we like the mindset for cooperate with the local restaurants, shops and other business.
The opportunity for parking in the garage is convenient and also the room in the basement for drying ski equipment is very helpful.
In total we can recommend the hotel and I’m sure we will come back.
